1. Welcome
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the San Diego Mega Desi Mela & Food Festival website (the "Site") and your participation in the San Diego Mega Desi Mela & Food Festival event (the "Event"). By using this Site or attending the Event, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. The Event
The San Diego Mega Desi Mela & Food Festival is a free, family-friendly community festival scheduled for September 5, 2026 in San Diego, California, from 12 Noon to 10 PM. The organizers reserve the right to modify, postpone, relocate, or cancel the Event at any time without prior notice. Updated event details will be posted on this Site.
3. Site Use
You agree to use the Site lawfully and respectfully. You may not:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose
- Submit false, misleading, or impersonating information through any form
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site, server, or related systems
- Upload malicious code, scrape data without permission, or interfere with Site operation
- Harass other attendees, staff, vendors, sponsors, or volunteers through Site communications
4. Vendor, Sponsor, Volunteer, and Community Applications
Applications submitted through this Site are reviewed by the Event organizers for fit, capacity, and alignment with the Event's mission. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance. The organizers reserve the right to reject any application at their sole discretion and without explanation.
Accepted vendors and sponsors will receive a separate written agreement outlining payment, booth, signage, and other terms. Until that agreement is signed, no contractual relationship is formed.
5. Photography & Media at the Event
Attendance at the Event constitutes permission to be photographed, filmed, or audio-recorded by the Event organizers and authorized media partners. Such images and recordings may be used for future promotional materials, news, and social media without payment or further notice.
If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify the entrance staff or move to an indicated non-photography zone where available.
6. Liability Disclaimer
The Event is provided to the public free of charge and at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Event organizers, their staff, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, and agents are not liable for any injury, loss, damage, or theft arising from your attendance, use of the Site, or interaction with other attendees.
Children attending the Event must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
7. Food & Allergens
Food sold at the Event may contain common allergens including nuts, dairy, gluten, soy, eggs, and shellfish. Vendors are independently responsible for their menu items. Attendees with allergies are responsible for asking vendors about ingredients before purchasing or consuming any food.
8. Acceptable Behavior
To keep the Event welcoming for all, attendees are expected to behave respectfully toward staff, vendors, performers, and fellow guests. The Event organizers reserve the right to refuse entry or remove anyone exhibiting unsafe, disruptive, discriminatory, or harassing behavior, without refund or compensation.
9. Intellectual Property
All names, logos, designs, illustrations, and original content on this Site (other than user-submitted content such as vendor, sponsor, or community partner logos) are the property of the Event organizers and may not be copied, modified, distributed, or used for any purpose without prior written permission.
By submitting a logo or other content through any form on this Site, you grant the Event organizers a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content on the Site and in Event promotional materials for as long as is reasonably necessary.
10. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to vendor, sponsor, community partner, or other third-party websites. The Event organizers are not responsible for the content, accuracy, security, or privacy practices of any third-party site. You access them at your own risk.
11. Cancellation & Changes
In the event of weather, public-safety, or other unforeseen circumstances, the Event may be modified, postponed, relocated, or cancelled. Because admission is free, no refunds will be issued; however, vendor deposits and sponsor commitments will be handled per the separate written agreements signed with each.
12. Changes to These Terms
The Event organizers may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
